some 3d animatic

I did some 3d animatic during the break.
It's not the final timing. There are some black area I'm still working on.
However, most of the camera moving and the timing of each shot are final.
tell me if anyone feels any un-fluid between shot and shot; or any camera angel is not works for you; or any suggestion to make composition better; or any idea of character movements?

Since lots of people doesn't get the story from my 2d animtic, I added more shots base on it......so my film is getting longer>"<

thesis distractions

I am currently at work in the 3DL. I can no longer get work done. The haircut below just walked into the lab. Except instead of being the coif of a man from the 1980s, this appears on a woman in 2009. It's so bad I can't stop staring at it. MUST...LOOK..AWAY...

My storyboard

Because I got stuck on my character design, I start to storyboarding my story. Haha... and my story became an action animation.(no gradfather anymore~)
Here are the timing of everything.
please, give me some commons~~
I don't like the storyboards from 1:47 to 1:53.(That's the sequence the boy cut down the last tree to cage the monster), I feel there should be one shot to show where is the boy, or what does he do exactly, or...I don't know

Where is my thesis chair?

I don't know who else I can ask for being my thesis chair......

I have Skip and Tom in my committee, but neither Charles, Mark, Brain can be my chair...
Can I just do it(my thesis) and forget about having a chair thing?

Let the games begin!

Well, I tried to work on my thesis this summer...I really did...

Then I realized that every bit of visual planning, and research I did was useless because I have no clue what my relatives are going to say. In short I have no story [insert the sound of a lone pebble falling down a dark, deep well and an echoing PLOP as it plunges into the muddy water therein].

However I now have an audio recorder that would make the most techno-phobic hermit in the world jump up and down with electronic induced joy, and my Uncle Geoff is coming up from NYC to visit tomorrow (hopefully his car does not explode like it did the last time he tried to come visit).

So, all systems are go! I'm going to tear this sh!t up!

character design?

I have no idea for how should my character look like.
In order to do some brain storm, I bought some clay and sculpted some shape randanly.
then, it came out some thing like this...XD

haha....I haven't gotten the right idea for for my character, but I have fun on it.

Characters

Yeah, I've just been messing around with the look of the characters but the original design is basically there. Plus, I guess someone has to post something to look at, right?

Thumbnails.

I drew three thumbnails yesterday.

No progress

I have no work to show because I have been enjoying the summer, but this was an idea we came up with in the spring to help get feedback on work no matter where you may hide to get your thesis done.
